Medical Grant

With God’s leading, our aim is to champion families towards thriving in their commitment to Christ, adoption, and the healing and restoration of God’s children.

Welcome to Preston Ranch Ministries! We are committed to helping adoptive families thrive by offering financial assistance for medical expenses. It is our privilege to support families on their post-adoption journey, and we look forward to getting to know your family through the application process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Although our hope is to cover all granting requests, grants and the amounts awarded are contingent upon the number of applications that are received, the family’s financial situation, and current funding available.

Preston Ranch Medical Care Grants are designated for medical care or medical equipment for adopted children. (See “Eligible Expenses” below for more details.)

Preston Ranch Medical Care Grants are non-transferable and intended solely to cover medical care or equipment expenses for the specific child named in the application. Separate applications will be required for any other adopted children in the family with eligible medical expenses.

Preston Ranch accepts applications for an individual every two years and only once for a specific medical expense. However, applications for other grant categories (mental health and crisis intervention) may be submitted during that two-year period.

Grants are paid directly to the provider after insurance has been billed, all insurance has been exhausted, and the new post-insurance bill has been submitted to Preston Ranch Ministries for the medical care or medical equipment. Bills will be paid until the full grant amount is utilized.

Applications must be completed before the specified child turns 18. Grant funds will expire and will no longer be available after the child’s 20th birthday.

Eligible medical expenses must be provided in the United States by a licensed physician and the medical expenses must have been incurred within the past 12 months AND/OR include anticipated out-of-pocket costs for medical expenses within 24 months of the application submission. (Note: The incurred date refers to the date the medical procedure occurred, or the date medical equipment was ordered, not the date payment was made.)

If awarded a grant, all applicants must notify Preston Ranch Ministries at grants@prestonranch.org via email if any of the following changes occur: postponement or withdrawal from the medical process, change in medical provider, or disruption of the adoption. In the event of such changes, Preston Ranch Ministries reserves the right to discontinue the grant.

Preston Ranch accepts applications and supplemental documents through the online platform only and does not accept these via mail or email.

The applicant must provide contact information for both a pastoral reference and a medical provider reference. If the applicant does not have a pastor for the pastoral reference, please contact grants@prestonranch.org for clarification before submitting the application.

The maximum allowable Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) for a family is $150,000, based on the previous year’s tax filing.

Preston Ranch Ministries accepts applications from Colorado residents only.
